Current Status: Getting set up in London
Right now I'm back in the UK in a new job, setting up a flat and associated guff.
Things I want to to do with Wine in the near future:
- Merge the stuff I have waiting.
- Currently I have many old trees with uncommitted stuff. Some is unfinished (or needs polishing), some is failing my tests, some isn't fully tested and some is ready to go but needs merging. I have updates for shlwapi, oleaut32 and mapi32, c2man and many small fixes around the place. I've promised myself that when I get a new box I will merge all old work before starting something new.
- Finish the dlls I've been working on. In the medium term this means:
- Ploughing through the oleaut32 stuff, fixing all the tests on 95 to XP Ensuring the shlwapi functionality used by IE is fully implemented and tested Continue with the lower level code of mapi32.
- Get a proper automated test framework set up.
I'm envisioning using bochs with images for 95,98,ME,NT4,W2K,XP & 2003 (ouch, $$$). The idea is to have a script that takes the latest cvs & builds the tests for win32, then fires up each image in turn and runs the tests, copying the results somewhere. This will be a fair amount of work, but when I get it running it should make really fixing the tests much easier. I'm inspired by the ole tests which are very hard to get right for a given dll version. Ideally these tests would also run on Wine with the builtin and native dll's in question from each version above.
- Automate my fix scripts.
- I've been hacking on a bunch of scripts to fix minor issues in the source: spelling, magic numbers, documentation bugs, bad idioms, uneeded headers, missing config.h etc. I want to run these on a weekly basis against cvs and have patches auto generated for approval.
We want to hear about your travels around the world too Jon!

Hmm, I'm not too sure this is the place for my boring war stories, lol.
However if any Wine developers/interested persons are passing through the London area and would like to catch up sometime, shoot me a mail. I was really gutted that I couldn't make Wineconf this year (It was so close, too); I was hoping to meet some of the crew at long last, maybe even tell some travelling stories
