Donation Requests

Things that will help bring Wine one step closer to world domination, be it hardware, software, documentation, etc.

General requests for Wine:

Time/Spare CPU Cycles:

• Bug testing. There are thousands of bugs in wine, but only a few dozen developers. We can't test all bugs, and many of them have been fixed. Here is a list of bugs that haven't been active in 3 months, but that have a download available.

• People to run daily build/test scripts on various operating systems. Wine has really portable code, but it doesn't get tested as often as it should. AustinEnglish has a script that makes it easy to set running daily, which updates wine from git, builds it, downloads the test suite, runs it and automatically submits test results. It should work on any Linux/FreeBSD/Solaris box, and NetBSD/OpenBSD are being worked on (Wine doesn't currently work there). Script is available here. For more info, contact AustinEnglish.

Time/Perl Knowledge:

• Someone to host/monitor PatchWatcher. DanKegel has taken a break from Wine, and PatchWatcher has been down, which was really helpful for Wine. It should be pretty easy for anyone with a bit of perl experience to get it running on a spare machine. Dan has offered to help someone get it up and going if they're interested. Individual developers: If you're in need of something (specific hardware/software/etc.), please post it here along with your name so that potential donors can get in contact with you.
